URL and redirects
URL validity, HTTP status, redirect chain, and canonical www or non-www behavior within a bounded redirect limit.
Preliminary Software Readiness Preflight
Submit a public website or product URL for a bounded passive preflight. Gear Six Labs checks public signals such as redirects, HTTPS reachability, common security headers, robots and sitemap files, DNS mail records, trust-page presence, and limited same-origin broken links.
V1 scope
Preflight is a passive public-surface readiness review. It is not a certification, penetration test, vulnerability assessment, malware determination, compliance review, legal opinion, regulatory certification, or formal audit sign-off.
What the preflight checks
The first version is intentionally limited. It checks public, unauthenticated surfaces and produces a structured internal artifact that can guide a follow-up testing, evidence, or due-diligence conversation.
URL validity, HTTP status, redirect chain, and canonical www or non-www behavior within a bounded redirect limit.
HTTPS reachability and common response headers such as HSTS, CSP, content-type options, frame options, referrer policy, and permissions policy.
Basic availability checks for robots.txt and sitemap.xml so public discovery behavior is visible in the review record.
DNS-over-HTTPS checks for MX, SPF, and DMARC records where feasible from the public domain information.
Public indicators for contact, privacy, terms, and security pages, based on common paths and discovered links.
A limited same-origin crawl checks public links without submitting forms, sending POST requests, fuzzing, or probing authenticated areas.
Preflight intake
Use this form when a software product, public site, SaaS landing surface, documentation portal, or buyer-facing product URL needs a preliminary public-surface readiness check. If the work requires credentials, source access, load testing, API test plans, or formal evidence packaging, Gear Six Labs will scope that separately after intake.
